Consignments are to be free from pests, soil, weed seeds and extraneous material.
Original and official translation of the Import permit must be presented to the Department of Agriculture Authorised Officer at the time of making appointment.
Visual inspection of a representative sample may be used for endorsing freedom from Merchant grain beetle (Oryzaephilus mercator) and Sawtooth grain beetle (Oryzaephilus surinamensis).
Crop Inspection or laboratory analysis reports may be used for endorsing freedom from Bacterial leaf stripe of sorghum and corn (Pseudomonas syringae pv syringae) and Bean bacterial brown spot (Burkholdena andropogonis).
Where applicable, the exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the endorsement and present it to the Authorised Officer at the time of inspection.
Seed Moisture contents must not exceed 10%.
Treatment
Treatment
Consignment are to be treated with Carboxin + Thiram at recommended manufacturers' requirements or with an appropriate fungicide and at recommended manufacturers' requirements.
Details of the treatment are to be endorsed in the phytosanitary certificate in the treatment section.
The exporter is to provide evidence attesting to the treatment and present it to the department at time of authorisation.
